Friday Facts 5/27/11

Considering that I was on a roll for Friday night dates, and am otherwise engaged this evening I preplanned to get this edition of Friday Facts out early. (so you slackers who blog at work could catch this on your lunch break!)  ;)   Moving right along........

Did you know :

  • I like to give my pets human names that are unusual or cultural? My German dog has an Irish name and my American cat has an Italian name. I also once had a pet named Nickodemus and one named Abercrombie.
  • that my favorite cereal is Cheerios. Plain old Cheerios. Boring I know, but sometimes I jazz it up with a banana.
  • I had a super huge girl crush on Wonder Woman as a girl? I wanted to be her so badly. She had the best accessories.
  • that I studied French for 5 years? And the only practical use of it was ordering food and flirting with a lovely boy named Olivier while I was in France. Both were delicious. ;)
  • I like to bite? But not to be bitten. Much. Occasionally on the tits or the tush. Gen.tl.y.
  • that I've never been SCUBA diving or parasailing, but both are on my bucket list?
  • among the many male attributes that I'm a fan of - one of them is sideburns? Wolverine makes me wet. It doesn't matter that it's Hugh Jackman - but damned if it doesn't make it better!
  • that lilies are my favorite flower? Particularly Tiger and Stargazer. I'm waiting for mine to bloom right now.
  • it's never a good idea to dice jalapenos and then readjust your boobs? Not even after you wash your hands, people. That stuff really burns! (although I'm ridiculous enough to laugh at the irony that milk is the best thing to take the burn away.) LOL :)
  • that it's almost strawberry picking season in my part of the world? That pleases me to no end. Strawberry jam, strawberry pies, strawberries on French toast, in cereal, and just because!
  • that I can purr? Yes. Yes I can. ;)
  • I know what the view from the Eiffel Tower looks like? It's beautiful and geometric, which pleases me.
  • that as of 12:28 p.m. today, I've been a mother for 17 years? That's craziness. Just yesterday he was a precocious little thing that couldn't absorb useless knowledge about trains, volcanoes, dinosaurs, and construction equipment fast enough, making my ears bleed with a constant stream of "hey mama, did you know?......." Oh. Wait. He he. I guess he gets more from me than his looks. ;)

That's all for today. I have a birthday cake and a phone call to make.
As always, enjoy your weekend!
*kiss kiss*

Friday Facts on a Saturday 5/14/11

So sorry for the delay, but Od offered up a date night and I wasn't about to pass that up! We grabbed a bite to eat and saw a movie - Thor. Yawn. I will say that Natalie Portman was good, but isn't she always? Advizor, I think of you now whenever I see her.

What made my "hot date" hot was how it started. Both of our kids were off to visit friends for the evening. I dropped the girl off and on my way home it occurred to me that the house was ours for the night. In the front door for mere seconds I called out to Od and began stripping off.

"Meet me in the bedroom!"

I grabbed my Lelo and started the pre-game warm up, so to speak. When he entered the bedroom he realized this was no ordinary "snuggle" and crawled under the covers with me to help out. He latched onto Tradition while I pleasured myself. I drew it out as long as I could and danced along the edge of orgasm for a few minutes until I tumbled over and rode it out loudly, knowing how much he loves to hear me. (my favorite thing about having the house to ourselves. well, that and not having to get dressed to use the bathroom afterwards.) I recuperated and enjoyed the afterglow for a few minutes while Od finished up with Tradition. Then finally we got to try out the Liberator ramp. Od suggested I bend over the edge of the bed - great idea - but my legs were still a little shaky, so we made use of the ramp's support. It gives a different angle than I'm used to, but at this point it wasn't about me. I gladly flopped onto it and let him have his way with me while I gave back as much as I could in my sated stupor. It was a long sex-free week that I was glad to see come to an end. The last time for us was a nooner last Saturday while still in DC, which I'll tell you about later on.

How 'bout those Friday Facts now, huh?  ;)  I was an independent kid with a good imagination, sometimes weird and often quite precocious, too. This week's facts are all devoted to little Freya, who BTW, resembled this little girl in a remarkable way. I loved my childhood, and remember it fondly. I had a habit of making my own fun and enjoying life to the fullest. It could be said that I've not changed much!

Did you know.......

  • that I used to dip my sandwich crust in my Koolaid? For some reason I though this was a good idea.
  • my favorite flavor of Koolaid was Sunshine? Not quite Orange in flavor or color. Anyone else remember that flavor?
  • I had a time when I was 9 or 10 when I refused to wear pink? I was mad at my sister who wore a lot of pink at the time and I wanted to be anything but like her. I wouldn't admit this though. I said it was because I was being a tomboy.
  • that I loved sitting in the rain? Right on top of the picnic table under an umbrella listening to the raindrops pitter patter.
  • my grandma once asked me if her pants made her look fat? I said "No. You're fat makes you look fat." I was not my grandma's favorite.
  • that I had a major crush on Rick Springfield? Me and my friend Shelly were card carrying members of his fan club. Swear to God.
  • even thinking about picking green beans makes me itch? I spent more muggy summer evenings picking beans in my other granny's garden than any little girl should have to. She still grows those damn things and I love to eat them, but I now tell her I don't want to come pick any unless she can get them to grow into the jars. Those vines are a bitch. If you've picked beans, then you know just what I'm talking about.
  • that I had two best friends growing up,both named Jenny? One lived down a block to the right, the other lived up a block to the left. They were referred to as Jenny Up The Block and Jenny Down The Block for obvious reasons.
  • I used to run around topless? Okay - this may not be too surprising! I remember still doing this around age 6 , mostly in the summer after dark when it was almost bedtime and me and my sister were still running around outside. You know....getting in one more game of tag.
  • that I got a brand new 10-speed bike in 4th grade? The first new bike I ever had. My sister took it without permission  so I bought a bike lock. She snuck the combination from my room and took it again. I got so mad at her I hit her with the bike lock across her back. I left welts. I thought my mother was going to kill me. I can't remember what my punishment was - but my sister never stole my bike again.
  • the kids in my neighborhood used to play Ghost in the Graveyard in an actual graveyard? Yep. It was right behind where I lived and had an old wrought iron fence. Pretty cool.
  • that one of my favorite things to play was Library? I had a date stamper, an ink pad, and hand cut cards to fill out and slide into the books. Sometimes I just stamped right in the books. My mom never cared. (I still have an affinity for office supplies. They just make me happy.)
  • I was a walker to school every day? I never rode a school bus until 9th grade unless it was for a field trip or an away game.
  • that I took piano lessons? But to this day I cannot play one single thing on the piano. I'm not musically inclined at all, apparently.
  • my mother taught me the value of laughter? From the time I was very little I can recall laughing with her about silly things. To this day we share our funnies. Except the slipped up nip pic. But I may even tell her that one some day.
  • that people used to mistake me for a boy? I had really short hair from age 5-8.
  • I had curly hair as a baby, it straightened out around age 3, then got curly again when I was 14? Very weird, I know.
I'm sure there's more I could recall but this has taken up enough time. I'm calling it a night, but I'll be back tomorrow to share my naughty tales from my road trip.

Goodnight kisses to y'all. Sleep well.

Friday Facts postponed

Since Blogger went tits up yesterday I was all frustrated and forgot about getting my Friday Facts ready! And since I've got a hot date tonight, sorry folks, but it's gonna be another day. So tune in tomorrow and I'll throw in a bonus. I'll let you know how Od and I occupied our spare time while on our trip. ;)

Have a good weekend!

Friday Facts 5/6/11

Happy Friday everybody! We made it to DC yesterday afternoon and I have to tell you it's so nice not to have to travel for a few days. *whew* We're sight seeing today and meeting up with the boy who is the whole reason we're here. He got to fly out with his BPA group and is staying in the Omni. He competed Wednesday morning and we find out results tomorrow at the awards banquet. While we are not staying in the Omni, our place is nice, roomy, clean and has a big bed and a sizeable shower. Both have been thoroughly tried out and tested, I assure you. ;)

Now I offer up Volume 4 of Friday Facts. I would love it if you play along too!

Did you know.......
  • I sometimes snort when I laugh? Can't be helped. I laugh a lot. The snorting might be obnoxious or stupid to others. I choose to believe it's adorable.
  • I got my first marriage proposal in 4th grade? From a boy named Warren. He asked me in front of the entire class. I was so embarrassed. If looks could kill he would've died that day.
  • that I have 5 piercings on my body? I'll let you guess where they are.
  • I birthed both of my kiddos without a drop of painkiller? Not intentionally - they both just came really fast. Impatient. Like their mama.
  • I've had 5 sex partners, total? A few more if you count oral and hands only.
  • that my favorite food is chicken? I could fix it every day and never tire of it.
  • I'm a really good cook? I love to do it and get great satisfaction by serving a delicious meal.
  • that I absolutely get lost listening to classical music? My favorites lately have been Beetoven and Vivaldi.
  • I found out in 5th grade the truth about  Santa Claus? I didn't mind. I liked knowing the secret. I was mored devestated when my son found out. He never said a word, but I know the exact moment it happened.
  • that I had a country music phase? From 1990-1994. It's about all I listened to. I've since moved on but I dabble occasionally.
  • my favorite fragrance is lavender? Especially combined with vanilla, chamomile, or lemon. Or plain. The scent is everywhere in my home. I have room spray, oil warmers, linen and pillow mist, body lotion and perfume.
  • that my favorite thirst quencher is a tie between lemonade or iced tea? Putting the two together would seem logical. No. Ewww. That's just gross. No mixing, thank you. I don't even like a slice of lemon near my iced tea.
  • I'm having a really good hair day today? It's silly how much that can affect my mood, but I have an extra spring in my step just because of it. :D
  • that petroleum based lip balm makes a suitable lube for an impromptu handjob while driving? You have to mash it up in your hand first. And while I'm thinking of it - Marcus, I apologize for admonishing you about proper "10 and 2" hand placement a few weeks ago. "10 and cock in the seat next to you" is no better. *blush*
That's all I have time for before we leave, but as always, whatever you're having - have a good one!

Friday Facts 4/29/11

Not too much to explain people. I'm Freya and these are facts about me. Volume 3 I believe. So in the name of useless information.......

Did you know :
  • that I have dimples when I smile? I got them from my daddy. My mom tells me I've had 'em since the first time I smiled at her and it's one of his traits that she was happy to see passed on.
  • I am no longer a dirty blonde? *pouts* I was meant to become a dirty blonde with two tones of highlights. What I ended up being was a redhead. It seems I'm one of a few people whose hair doesn't react normally to hair color. (see? statistical freak, I tell ya) I can't decide if it will grow on me or if it needs remedied. That fun day was only a notch on the post I like to refer to as "How many ways can Freya be pissed off?"
  • that I have forgotten how badly kitty scratches hurt like a motherfucker - until recently? I'm well reminded. Good thing she's cute.
  • I will be visiting our nation's capital next week? I could use some recommendations on what to see and what to skip. I've never been. I'm excited.
  • that I really, really like frogs? About 10 years ago I discovered my adoration for the amphibious creatures. Don't know why - but I like 'em!
  • my favorite sex position is plain old boring missionary? It works for me. Usually every time. Not so much lately, though. :(
  • that I have a cute little mole on my left cheek? Ummm.....my lower left cheek. It may or may not make an appearance in a future HNT. No promises. (but it is kinda cute)
  • I grew up in a house that was part of the underground railroad? I think it was built in 1834. We had a sand and brick floored cellar that was really creepy where the washer and dryer was kept and I refused to go down there for the longest time. I would toss my dirty clothes down the stairs then slam the door and run away as fast as I could. Also, my sister swears she saw a ghost. I never did - thank God.
  • I don't think I could live out west? We travelled to the Grand Canyon by car and while it was nice, all the red rock and dirt and general lack of green made me feel anxious. On the way home we got to Missouri before things started to feel "right" to me. It was the sound of wind blowing through leafy trees that did it.
  • that I believe gays have the right to marry and I am pro-choice. Not looking for a debate and not shoving my beliefs in anyone's face - but there you have it.

I'm out of facts for this week, but consider playing along. Marcus did, so go take a look!

And as always, have a good weekend lovies. *kiss*

Friday Facts 4/15/11

So did you have a good week?

My week was full of rediscovering the surprises that come with having a new cat. Snagged curtains (because they're fun to both climb and play hide and seek in), bitten toes (because that's her favorite prey when playing hide and seek), finding tabletop items on the floor (because she's obviously behind in learning her Kitty Rules) and trying to figure out why the hell this little thing smells so bad. Seriously. It's a problem. I've been seranading her all week with the Smelly Cat song from Friends.

I also had an interesting lunch date with Od Wednesday. I'm still processing. I hope to write about that tomorrow.

Other than that I plan on a busy weekend of yardwork - as long as the weather holds out. Here are this week's facts :

Did you know.....

  • that I've never done body shots? Which is a crying shame. I have a really nice place to rest that shot glass.
  • I've never been in a threesome? But if I had my choice it would be a MFM with 2 bi guys. Sooooo many things to do, and everybody could have fun without limits.
  • I was an anal virgin until the age of 36? Od had no interest in it. It took me 6 months to get him ready for it, and I still had to initiate. He was nervous, overly cautious, but it was still amazing. Best first time of anything I've ever done. He still wasn't sold on it. After the 2nd time though, he was a smiling convert!
  • I do not wear a wedding ring? I've cycled through many combinations of rings and bands, but gave up wearing anything about 7 years ago due to a persistent skin rash which I teasingly (sort of) blamed on being allergic to marriage. Rash is long gone, but the habit stuck.
  • that I only like the second joint Buffalo wing? With mild sauce only. You can keep the drumettes and flaming hot sauce. I'm kind of a wuss that way.
  • in elementary school gym class I remember being a finalist in jump-roping and hula-hooping contests a lot? I won hula-hooping and M.E. won jump-roping every. single. time. I always wanted to beat her but never could. That girl would jump rope until the end of class and she had to stop.
  • that bird sex confuses me? Maybe not so much the sex as the reproduction process. Really it's the egg I don't get. Like how and when does that come into play? It doesn't help that my parents had a bird that was a boy (supposedly) that turned out to be a girl, and after a year of being in a cage by his-herself, laid an egg. So now they can have immaculate conceptions? WTF? I don't even want to know at this point.
  • I'm really bad at remembering names? I can spend hours watching a movie or days reading a book and then be unable to tell you the names of the characters. I can recall almost every detail except names. I'm only slightly better at remembering names in real life.
  • that I'm a waterbaby? I loooooooove water. I used to stay in my baths so long that the water would turn cold and when my mom made me drain the tub I would still lay in there and listen to the water swirl down the pipe. Sometimes I'd fall asleep listening to that sound. My perfect vacation would be to flop on the beach somewhere and alternate between sunning and swimming. My kids actually ask me if I'm ready to go home yet when we're at the pool. My answer is usually "at the next break".
  • I believe the power of touch is a gift? Some have it, others do not. I have it, and actually considered going into massage therapy for a long time. My son has it too. Sadly, Od does not, so if I want my neck rubbed or my back massaged I have to rely on my son, which as you can imagine doesn't go over very well. My husband can manage a decent foot rub though, when I can convince him to use lotion.
  • if weather wasn't an issue I'd either go barefoot or wear flip flops all year? I hate wearing socks and shoes. Boots are my only consolation in this scenario. I do like boots.
  • that I've only experimented with drugs once? I took a hit of pot one time, but not sure that it did anything. I was already buzzed at the time and I was told years later that's the wrong order of doing it.
I'm gonna stop there because I have an appointment to keep, but you guys have a great weekend! Fell free to join me and play along!

Friday Facts 4/8/11

I'm trying something new.
I really love the 100 things that many bloggers post about themselves.
But I'd like to approach this differently.
I'll reveal a little at a time - on Fridays.
So here's the first volume of Friday Facts about Freya.

Did you know..................

  • that I have naturally curly hair? Not kinky. Just curly. Those cute little nape of the neck curls? yeah- I've got those too. They boing.
  •  I played softball for 2 years? 6th and 7th grade. Center field. I was good. Until I got up to bat. I choked in front of the crowd. Too many people watching me.
  • that I hate brussell sprouts? Hate. Them. Od loves them, but I refuse to bring them into my house. Same goes for liver and onions.
  • my new favorite spa treatment is a facial? It used to be pedicures, but my first facial was last week and "I'm in love, I'm in love, and I don't care who knows it!" (points if you can name the movie I just quoted)
  • I have a crush on Steve Carell?
  • that I drink out of the carton, but still tell my kids not to? Hypocrite. I know.
  • when I got married we eloped instead of having a ceremony?
  • that I'm a statistical freak of nature? I hardly fit into any generalizations about "most women". Anything from health, sexuality, social practices, etc...... I really hate that sometimes.
  • I actually like my name? So many people seem to dislike the names they were given - why is that? I was named after a very nice neighbor lady that my parents bought their first house from. My dad planted a tree in her yard the weekend I was born and it's still thriving.
  • that I'm a lazy recycler? I only do it when Od is looking otherwise he'll say "that's recycleable" for the 1,648,082nd time. When he's not around I pitch it because I know he'll sort it out anyway.
  • I'm a bed hog? And a cover hog, too. I'm actually no fun to sleep with at all. Unless you like extremely invasive cuddling, 'cause I get right up in there. :)
  • that I never understood why men love girl-on-girl porn? Until I discovered guy-on-guy. But not twinks or greasy steroid gays. Guess you could say I'm particular about the gay male sex I'll never be involved in! LOL
  • I'm not afraid of bugs? Unless they touch me. Then they have to die.
  • that I have a fool-proof way to stop hiccups? Works every time. I take shallow breaths but exhale very deeply until I can't anymore. Repeat a few times and voila! No more hiccups.
  • that my knees creak when I walk down stairs? they have for a very long time. I blame 10 years of cheerleading combined with a few years of dance, but who knows?
  • fish freak me out? I have to psych myself into swimming in lakes and ponds because of this. I also have a recurring bad dream about a room with large murky aquariums filled with giant fish that have gaping mouths and clouded eyes. *shiver* I just got the heebie jeebies just thinking about it.
So.....that's a little about me. There's a lot more where that came from, but you have to wait until next Friday. Feel free to join in!
